It was SUCH an honor when my cousin, Chad, and his fiancee (now wife!), Tracy, pulled me aside during a family gathering a while back and asked if I would want to capture their special day. I was so excited and just thrilled :) They tied the knot on a beautiful day at my Aunt's backyard, it used to be where my grandparents lived, so the home has been in the family for a long time and has special meaning. The ceremony was sweet, emotional, and had some great laughs, a few moments were when the wind was a little intense that day so Chad + Tracy couldn't light the candle for the unity part of the ceremony, and when the officiant, Trish, asked Chad if he can say 'I Do', Jeopardy music started playing! Ha! No one had any clue he would do that.

The celebration continued over at Rex's Innkeeper with cocktails, dinner, and dancing! Wait 'til you see their amazing cake!! Wow. Guests took home little bottles of Jack Daniels, spiced rum, etc. and candies. It was a intimate, beautiful evening of family and friends! Thank you, Tracy and Chad for allowing me to capture your day!! So excited to have a new cousin!!

My photo assistant:)  It also happened to be my cousin Patti’s birthday, so it was great to see her on her GOLDEN birthday. Love you guys!

The Manchester’s have one of the most charming homes and are such a sweet family! I loved capturing them with their Christmas tree and their holiday decorations. I originally met them when I worked with Deb on her new business logo and website – check it out HERE! She has a super cool business  I loved coming to her house to work on designs for her business, so I was thrilled when they asked me to come back to capture their family! Such a great group — thanks, Manchesters!!

Every semester I look forward to capturing the graduating SAO sisters. Since I’m an alum, I don’t get to see them nearly enough, so it’s a perfect excuse to see them, catch-up, and it’s a chance for me to welcome them to the alumna club as well.  It was great to walk around campus a bit and chat and capture these lovely sisters of mine! Couldn’t be more excited for you ladies! Congrats! <3 #dovelove

Kayla + Chris. Oh my are these two are fun and hilarious. Kayla’s laugh and facial expressions are the best. I met Kayla 5 years ago when I joined the sorority, Sigma Alpha Omega. She was president and one of the founders of the UW-Madison chapter. She and Chris also met at UW-Madison and got engaged in September at the Memorial Union, a go-to spot on campus.

So, of course, it was no question to have their engagement session in downtown Madison and on campus. These two were absolutely amazing during their session, it was FREEZING. Like, take breaks every 5 minutes or so to warm up kind of freezing. It’s the coldest session I’ve had so far. Their dog, Rena joined for the last part of the session and we were able to get some sweet candids (she pretty much stole the show;). I had so much fun with these two! Between talking about how ridiculous the cold was, to dodging people/photobombers, and battling the wind, it made for some good laughs.  Thank you, Kayla + Chris for being amazing!
